The Week As It Was ...
Morning :)
Saturday Morning 10 July 2021
We are out of lockdown on Monday and no need to wear masks again. So this week we could only go out for essentials and had to wear masks indoors.
We went out for food ... for us and for Beauty the cow :)
Having finished one project I moved on to a new one :), a Chanel jacket . This is the back.
It is knit in a Twist pattern ...a four row pattern with the twist on the third row.. it is quick to knit.
We have had a lot of rain this week and Beauty must have been hungry as she came up the hill early each day. The rain pounded down most days and then some sunshine followed.
It is nice to have some slow days in the winter, time to get things done at home and to catch up with friends.
I love living in our small town,we can say "hello" to everyone and get a "hello" in reply :) it is a peaceful place and I am enjoying it a lot.
Inner peace is so important these days with changes happening quickly, keeping your joy and peace means you have time to think ... think about your answers and think of others :)
This is Phoenix, he is going on nine years old.
Thanks for stopping by
Hugs

Awww. Sleeping kitties are so content-looking. I have a soft spot for the orange ones. ❤️
ReplyDeleteYes, peace is where you find it. ☮️
Thanks for taking time to read my blog :)
ReplyDeleteAh, sweet kitty. I just read a story about a pet cat being found yesterday having survived that horrible condo collapse in Florida.
ReplyDeleteOur trip to Australia/New Zealand is booked for March. We will see what the world looks like by then.
With the attitude of the majority in this area, Joe and I wear masks voluntarily whenever we go anywhere indoors. We have hospital workers suing over the requirement that they be vaccinated.
Enjoy your visit with DD.
Phoenix was left in a house after his mother and kittens were removed, he has never forgotten and is so skittery. We are a pretty quiet family so he is ok most of the time.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to be going to Australia and New Zealand. New Zealand has so many great places to visit with areas not seen anywhere else in the world. Birds and animals and beautiful scenery .
Our retirement workers said no to mandatory vax and nurses too.
Thanks for stopping by ...hugs
Lovely! And this "think about your answers and think of others :)" is so important. The world is changing at a record pace seems like. Love the sweet kitten.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Saturday and enjoy the knitting and baking. Your DD is coming to visit!
To me we are all family in this world, none better than anyone else and all need a hand or a hug now and then :)
DeleteDD could not take Phoenix with her so he is mine. Like us all he has a back story, he was left in a house after his mum and siblings were found. Even after 9 years of gentle care he is very skittery :)
So many lovely comments! I was looking at Phoenix and thinking how peaceful he looks. I'm glad he found a quiet family to live with!
ReplyDeleteLots of promise in that jacket... it's very pretty, as it grows. Your blog started me out with a peaceful feeling for my own Saturday morning! ✨ Keep Sparking!
Oh thank you for that comment :) hugs Christine
ReplyDeleteLovely peaceful cat -- beautiful knitting projects -- and soon soon soon your beloved daughter will be visiting to enjoy your special pies and cakes and mum-hugs!! Love is good.
ReplyDeleteLove is good :) thanks for stopping by lovely lady :)
DeletePhoenix looks so comfortable and relaxed.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is tired of staying at home and overeager to go places. Us, too. We went to church last week and we’re the only masked couple there. So sad with children present.
I do all I can to be safe and help others be safe too, we can only do that much and get our jabs :)
ReplyDeleteI hope it got the memo too :)
We have relatives who refuse the vaccine too, DH had his and he is usually a stickler for "the body will work on it" however with this one and DD coming he got his first jab willingly :)
ReplyDeleteSmall town living is super!! We live a couple of miles out of a small town that boasts a population of 199. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWow that is great :)
ReplyDeleteSo nice to live where people are friendly!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors of your jacket. Beautiful.
HUGS and enjoy your week.
thanks for taking time to stop by Barb :) hugs
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed this beautiful blog…I need to get in the habit of getting over here and keeping up with my dear friends.
