SPARKDOVESEYES DAYS THRU THE KNITTING GLASS 02/26/2022

 Hi there,

Another week goes by, just stopped by to update the knitting. I finished the back on the Rivette and started on the front.

Also have made headway on the Berroco Lovell getting to the armholes already.

Had to go to Hospital on Tuesday, stayed seven hours, sent home.

So I am going to take it easy today.

Love how the cable splits up to the shoulder.

then a photo of the Lovell so far.

That is all today, I am having a quiet day to rest ...I am sure to knit it is my happy place...

SPARKDOVESEYES THRU THE KNITTING GLASS 02/19/2022

WELCOME ...

Ahh memories of SP....

It has been a time of finishing and starting projects this week, the cast on and the cast off are always exciting things to me.

I finished the Mini Spring Shawl by Cathy-Cathy, I knit it in some 4 ply yarn I had in stash. It was a free pattern I believe and came with a large and small option.

It was knit rows and some lace, it was a triangular shawl and fun as I had not tried one of those before.

I also started a new pattern ... the Lovell by Berroco it is a cute top with a new to me pattern.

It has an eight row pattern that is new to me and fun to knit. A zig zag and lace what could be more fun?

The Rivette did get put aside during the week to knit it.

However I did return to it reaching the armhole shaping and dividing the cables for the neckline. You knit across then decrease the centre stitch add another ball of yarn and then knit left and right on different balls on the same needles.

I love new things :)

I have finished the green part now and added a grey to do the division for the the V neck part. The back is exactly the same and the front so it will 'flow' ... I am looking to wear it in Winter so it should be finished by then.

On the home front I have been to the physio on Thursday and been given some new exercises to do with increased weights, and measurements were taken showing I am progressing well. So I can do those from home now.

Hubby is pleased he will get his side of the bed back !!! Ha ha .

DD is still hanging on to Little Flynn, I remember 32 years ago before she was born that feeling of "hurry up and come" .... ha ha

She loved the headbands and cowls when they arrived ... phew :)

Well wonderful people ... thanks for stopping by ... hoping for a great week for you and your families,

SPARKDOVESEYES THRU THE KNITTING GLASS 02/12/2022

 Good morning,

The Diane Tee is finished and blocking. I really liked the finishing as  the seams were lovely and picking up and knitting the rib at the bottom so easy.

In total it took 50 days to knit, I did put it aside to knit hats and headbands, though for me it is not a race but a joy to do.

So back onto the Rivette Tee now, it is growing steadily being a 4 ply yarn it is a little slower but so much fun with the cables and features on the sides.

I have also started a crochet project, a baby blanket from some bright minis a friend gifted to me.

It is a one row pattern of shells that make a thick fabric... nice to do.

The magpies were singing this morning and the Galahs were having their meeting to discuss what they would do today and the Black parrots glided by.  I do love the sights and sounds of birds :)

Hoping you have a wonderful week with lots of joy,

Hugs

Chris

SPARKDOVESEYES THRU THE KNITTING GLASS 02/05/2022

Good morning and welcome to my page.

DD and the GC loved their hats and shawl, she sent me a photo of them wearing their hats but I can't upload it.

This week I made DD some headbands as she is growing out her hair. Not much time for my Diane Tee though I managed about four rows on it.

I will send her a chunky Cable one, she can pull it down and also use it as a cowl, a Dk feather and fan one and I'm working on one that is called a twist headband, in Purple dk, it really fluffs up as I knit it.

No news really this week just a trip to the physio, Hubby says she will be pleased with my progress and attitude.

Just a short one today. Not much happening and the 42-44 deg Temps are so hot :)

Hope your week is awesome, notice the small things and people around you :)
