Good Morning,
Beauty says "Moo"
A quiet week this week, rising working resting... we did go to the shops for provisions ..lots of fresh veges and fruit ... I baked ...scones, apple cake, made a Mushroom sauce/soup.
The men had roast potatoes last night ... good comments were made :)
On the knitting front, the chevron sweater proved that I knit very loosely doing just knit stitch and when the back was nearly finished I ripped it out and redid it. Then started the front happy it would be the correct size.
This is the finished back.
This is the front so far. It has the chevron detail.
DD has announced the impending arrival of GC 3 for March ...a boy .. lovely.
Spring is on it's way so we are still getting the field fire ready ..an ongoing task.
I have been thinking a lot of New Zealand and my travels there, thought this may be new to some of you.

Thanks for stopping by today

Good morning to Beauty, too. Well done, both with the cooking AND the knitting. Taking something apart and putting it back together better has to have a level of satisfaction associated with it. Onward!
ReplyDeleteThanks yes very true if knitting has taught me one thing ...it is that you can have as many do overs as you need. I am loving the knitting and the different patterns
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend
ReplyDeleteHi Trev thanks and you too :)
ReplyDeleteYour sweater is going to look great with so many things . Like blue jeans . Nothing tastes better than roasted potatoes . I just read this week that they feel potatoes might act as an anti-inflammatory , also they have B vitamins in them . Take care .
ReplyDeleteHello, thanks for your comments, do you have a blog I would love to add you to my list :)
DeleteNo blog , just a reader of blogs . I too had been at sparkpeople for a short period of time . Dec.2020 . And I started enjoying other peoples journeys when I had a few spare minutes . You write your posts , well . Keep it up as long as it gives you enjoyment . Take care .
DeleteThank you for that :)
DeleteAnother sweet baby. Congratulations and healthy growing to all!
ReplyDeleteRoasted potatoes are a favorite here, too. Also roasted potato soup. It has a different flavor with the nice caramelization of the edges. As a matter of fact ANYTHING made with potatoes keeps my homey happy.
Thanks I hadn't made them since DD left home in 2015, now they are having a revival since she was here :)
DeleteJust glad Hubby does the washing up :)
God bless Beauty! She looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat chevron pattern (and the colors!) are gorgeous!
Awwww, congratulations to DD on baby boy!
Thank you for that link! So interesting!
HUGS and all the best
Thanks Barb, Hugs
DeleteCongratulations on the expected new family member!
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy seeing what’s on your needles.
Beauty is a cutie.
And we got another fruiting of yellow oyster mushrooms yesterday. 😋
Thanks Barb, great you got more mushrooms so fresh when you grow your own.
ReplyDeleteA quiet week?!?! Maybe quiet, but certainly busy. Cooking, baking, knitting, and all the other things that go into making a home. Whew!! I'm tired just reading about it!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new grandson that's arriving in a few months.
The sweater is gorgeous. I assume that soon you will be busy knitting baby things. Lucky baby!
The information about New Zealand is most interesting. So many uses for the gum and such a huge industry. Thanks for sharing. I definitely learned something new tonight.
Have a marvelous week!
Hugs ~ Jeanne
Thanks so much Jeanne :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice week you had. It had all of the elements for success, Beauty the cow, shopping, knitting, baking and roasted potatoes! Top it off with news about the incoming new grand baby and you have an excellent week!
