SPARKDOVESEYES DAYS THRU THE KNITTING GLASS
I am showing you today the knitted items that will go home with DD for Miss A.
These have been knitted over the five years since she was born :)
This is a topsy turvy doll Cinderella at the ball and at home :)
Oops missed this one :)
They all took months to knit and put together ... a labour of love ...
Just wanted to show you before they were whisked away :)
Thanks for supporting my blogs
Hugs
Christine
Love them! I'm knitting right now as well. A very simple project Walt requested a pair of slippers.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy making the slippers thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteWow! So much detail on those dolls! Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteOver the five years I have sent a lot of toys and clothes to DD, now we have decided to buy online and send to them that way. Mostly because of the postage costs. So I am making some things for me now :)
ReplyDeleteThe best part of knitting for oneself is that the recipient knows exactly how much went into making it! 😉
DeleteAlso, if you decide the sleeves need to be longer, or the hat tighter, or a repair is warranted, your own personal Apparel Technician is available, and usually has some matching yarn sitting around... 😂
Ha ha well said :)
DeleteThese are absolutely darling and I am in awe of your skill and your labours of love! I'm sure those dolls will be oh, so loved, coming from your hands!
ReplyDeleteSweet work!
ReplyDeleteThanks Janet, they were fun to knit :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful collection of knitted friends, crafted with love in every stitch!! Your little granddaughter will treasure them.
ReplyDeleteThank you, great to hear you are getting involved on the Island too lots of stories I am sure to follow :)
ReplyDeleteI sure hope someone videos this for you when Miss A sees these for the first time. The screams of sheer delight must be captured for you to watch over and over! Any little girl will be beside herself with joy at receiving such a beautiful new family.
ReplyDeleteYou are one special gramma!!
Oh thank you so much the distance between us has given me the time to knit them, if I was there I wouldn't be home all day or they would be with me :)
ReplyDeleteAll things work together for good. :) they will have something to treasure when their Nana in not around :)
DD was the recipient of knitted dolls from a family member. She even received the 3 bears. They were much loved for years.
ReplyDeleteThank you I hope Annabelle and Eric love them too :)
