SPARKDOVESEYES THRU THE KNITTING GLASS 02/19/2022

WELCOME ...

Ahh memories of SP....

It has been a time of finishing and starting projects this week, the cast on and the cast off are always exciting things to me.

I finished the Mini Spring Shawl by Cathy-Cathy, I knit it in some 4 ply yarn I had in stash. It was a free pattern I believe and came with a large and small option.

It was knit rows and some lace, it was a triangular shawl and fun as I had not tried one of those before.

I also started a new pattern ... the Lovell by Berroco it is a cute top with a new to me pattern.

It has an eight row pattern that is new to me and fun to knit. A zig zag and lace what could be more fun?

The Rivette did get put aside during the week to knit it.

However I did return to it reaching the armhole shaping and dividing the cables for the neckline. You knit across then decrease the centre stitch add another ball of yarn and then knit left and right on different balls on the same needles.

I love new things :)

I have finished the green part now and added a grey to do the division for the the V neck part. The back is exactly the same and the front so it will 'flow' ... I am looking to wear it in Winter so it should be finished by then.

On the home front I have been to the physio on Thursday and been given some new exercises to do with increased weights, and measurements were taken showing I am progressing well. So I can do those from home now.

Hubby is pleased he will get his side of the bed back !!! Ha ha .

DD is still hanging on to Little Flynn, I remember 32 years ago before she was born that feeling of "hurry up and come" .... ha ha

She loved the headbands and cowls when they arrived ... phew :)

Well wonderful people ... thanks for stopping by ... hoping for a great week for you and your families,

  3. We all miss Spark. It was such a great way to connect with others and get feedback notifications. I definitely miss all the fellowship with others around the world. It seems that with each outreach, there are fewer responses. "Sigh!"

    Your knitting is exquisite!

It shouldn't be long before we are getting the notice about the arrival of your new grandson.

Good news on the healing front. Stay safe. Be well.
