SPARKDOVESEYES THRU THE KNITTING GLASS 09/28/2021

Hi I couldn't wait for Saturday

Its finished ...in the photo above ...which is the sleeve can you see the seam?

I had all the parts ready to assemble and then the collar to knit ...did the sixteen rows of rib and then  came to the dec row. For three hours I knit and unpicked it.

Nightmare ...finally I gave a shout out to a wonderful knitter who stepped in and gave me the help I needed even making a video so I could follow it step by step.

She has a lovely voice too :)

Here are some photos of the stages

Here is the collar cast off after the help, sorry I didn't take a photo of the mess I made of it :) it was bad :) Simple when you know how :)

I have it on now, my friend is coming over and she loves to see my creations :)

Hubby and DS gave it a thumbs up too. :)

 Thanks for having a look

Hugs

Chris

  4. Your sweater is a beautiful one . You must find it hard to decide which hand knit sweater to wear , they are all so nice . I just read some of the older recent posts , it seems you and the hubbie , have talents that you put to good use . I'm sure your cute cow , will have a good time if she gets her company . My dear Mom used to walk her family cow ; Bonnie , to and from the nearby pastures . She loved doing it . Her brother didn't like doing it and always asked Mom to do it for him . . Yes , I hope your weather is not so dry , to cause those great fires . Take care .

For me that’s how I know something is a good design - when it looks BETTER on someone than it does flat on a table, or even in the photo with the “real” model. Congrats!!! I’m excited to see what else you make from the booklet! ❤️

PS I think NZ and Oz voices sound much nicer than ones from the US ๐Ÿ˜‰

  8. The collar is really nice sitting up like that. Most of my knitting has gone to others but I am getting a nice collection.
This new pattern book makes me want to knit all of them :)

    1. He must like your voice pretty well, since he married you - and that was back when you were more recently from NZ! LOL

(just between us, I like the Kiwi accent more than the Oz one; the vowels are pronounced higher)๐Ÿ’Ÿ
